So… a thing happened….
You guys are going to have to excuse the relatively lazy graphic, but I think it goes without saying that I’m Deb, and ALL OF YOU are Dexter, and the look on her face is me realizing that I couldn’t and wouldn’t still be here if it wasn’t for each and every one of you! I’ve had Debra for a little over a year now, moved blogs once, gone on and off of hiatus more than a handful of times, and been a pain in the ass for most of you whenever I’ve actually been here… and yet, you’ve all stuck around, and I can’t even begin to explain how much that means to me.
I’ve never felt so successful, so happy and welcome with a character as I have with Deb. The feeling I get when someone tells me that Deb is/was one of their favorite fictional ladies, or that I’m doing her justice is just incomparable. My love for this lady has only gotten stronger since I started up, and I can attribute a lot of that to all of you. Everybody knows how hard it can be to maintain a blog, and I’m not going to act like it’s been easy… but the truth is, without all your love and support and fun threads and amazing characters, I DEFINITELY would have bailed on his hellsite a long time ago. Thanks to all of you, though, I’m still kicking, and I hope that me and Deb can be kicking and filling your dash with f-bombs and other nonsense for as long as you’re all willing to follow me!
Below the cut, I’ll give a couple of special shout outs and acknowledge some of the people who have really made all my time here special, but I just want to point out that IF YOU’RE FOLLOWING ME, YOU ARE A PART OF THIS! Even if I don’t follow you back, even if you followed me yesterday, you’re still one of the wonderful souls who helped me reach 300+, and it wouldn’t be the same here without you. Thanks again, everyone!
“I’m sorry, Dylan. I’m so sorry. For everything. For how you were born, for how I handled it, how I shut you out. It was horrible of me, and I’m so sorry. I didn’t know what I was doing, but as horrible as it was, I wouldn’t trade it for anything, because… you’re here now, and you’re beautiful, and it’s a miracle that someone like you could come out of all that. And I wouldn’t give you up for anything.” independent norma louise bates & dylan john massett of a&e’s chilling series ‘bates motel.’
